Accessibility Statement

Last updated: 2 March 2026

Our Commitment

SyncMed is committed to making our platform accessible to all medical students and doctors, including those with disabilities. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.

What We Do

We design and develop SyncMed with accessibility in mind:

  • All pages are navigable by keyboard
  • Text content maintains a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1
  • Images include descriptive alt text
  • Forms include associated labels and error messages
  • The site is compatible with common screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver)
  • Content is structured with semantic HTML and proper heading hierarchy
  • Interactive elements have visible focus indicators

Known Limitations

SyncMed is a small team and we are continuously improving. Current known limitations include:

  • Live tutorial sessions hosted on Microsoft Teams are subject to Microsoft's own accessibility features and limitations
  • Some older tutorial materials uploaded by doctors may not yet meet full accessibility standards
  • PDF documents shared during tutorials may not be fully screen-reader compatible

We are actively working to address these limitations.

Feedback and Contact

If you experience any accessibility barriers on SyncMed, or have suggestions for improvement, please contact us:

We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within 5 working days and to resolve reported issues within 30 working days where feasible.

Enforcement
