SyncMed is committed to ensuring a safe environment for all users. While our platform connects adult medical students (aged 18+) with GMC-registered doctors, we recognise our responsibility to maintain safeguarding standards consistent with those expected across UK medical education.
This policy applies to all SyncMed users, including medical students, doctors, and administrators. It covers all interactions facilitated through the SyncMed platform, including live tutorials, messaging, and any content shared during sessions.

We aim to resolve all safeguarding concerns within 14 working days. Complex cases may take longer. We will keep you informed of progress.
All safeguarding reports are treated confidentially. Information will only be shared on a need-to-know basis and in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We may be required to share information with regulatory bodies (e.g., the GMC) or law enforcement where there is a legal obligation or risk of serious harm.
All doctors on SyncMed must hold current GMC registration, which we verify before granting teaching access. GMC registration confirms a doctor's licence to practise medicine in the UK. SyncMed does not currently require DBS checks, as our platform facilitates group educational sessions between adults in a supervised online environment. We keep this position under review.
